American author and journalist Chuck Palhanuik describes his work as "transgressional fiction." He is best known for the book "Fight Club" which was made into a cult film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. He writes in a minimalist style and using black-humour explores and describes, often graphically, traditionally "uncomfortable" issues such as suicide, extreme-sex,and self-destruction. Other titles include "Survivor," "Choke," (made into a film in 2008) "Snuff," "Pygmy," "Haunted," "Invisible Monsters" and "Lullaby."
